I straight up copied this look from the Gap website. Well, let’s go with re-created. I re-created this look from the  Gap website.

That sounds better.

Olive and Dot

I knew this day was coming. It happens every year about this time, and I’ve been dreading it. Sigh- I’ve got the sniffles. And a sore throat. And zero energy. And I’m sure, soon, I won’t be able to breathe out of my nose.

But at least Boo is making me homemade popsicles. Maybe he’ll get me a balloon and some stickers too.

Rainy Day Weekend

leather1

It’s been raining a lot. So other than a few coffee and grocery runs, it was a pajama type of weekend. Movies on netflix, pulling our comforter out to the couch with us, and a big bag of dill pickle chips (that is now empty) - that was pretty much what my weekend looked like.

How was your weekend?

Snowfall

It snowed this past weekend. And not that gross, slushy “is that rain or snow?” kind of snow. Real big flakes. It wasn’t a lot, and it was only a few hours before it actually did turned into rain. But just for a bit, it was really pretty.

Seashells and Sweaters

beach1

Boo and I spend a lot of time lounging at the beach during the summer. But this weekend, we wondered what it would be like to wander in the sand, all bundled up, in the colder months. So we put on all of layers and headed out to Plum Beach to find out.

Turns out, it’s pretty fun. There are barely any people, and there are little treasures everywhere. We grabbed some coffee, and spent some time combing through all of the shells and driftwood scattered along the shore. And then I made Boo, who is usually behind the camera, step in front of it with me for some fun photos. He loves it….. I swear.

Holiday Wish List

1. Seriously, how cute are these hangers?! They would look pretty cute in my office/sewing room.

2. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a camera upgrade. Love.

3. I’m looking for some crafty business books - options one, two, three

4. Warby Parker prescription sunglasses. I’m partial to the Winston frames, as you know.

5. I’ve been craving a simple navy blue dress. A little sparkle doesn’t hurt.

6. These rain boots are perfect.

7. I’m kind of camera bag obsessed. I think this Epiphanie back pack would fit into my collection nicely.

8.Fabulous and stylish tech gloves.

eShakti

When I received this dress in the mail from eShakti, I was immediately excited to put it on. And it didn’t disappoint! My only regret is that it is not warm enough to wear without a cardigan or jacket, and therefore the gorgeous embroidery detail gets covered up. C’est la vie.

Anyway, have you heard of eShakti? They sell adorable dresses, skirts and tops that can be customized to your exact measurements, so you get the perfect fit. You can even customize the length, neckline and sleeve design. And all for very reasonable prices! This is my second eShakti dress (my first one was won in a giveaway), and I can honestly say that the custom fitting is definitely worth it. A good fit can make all the difference!
