Jeans and Tee

I don’t usually document jeans and tee outfits here on the blog. I don’t really know why. It’s not like I don’t wear that type of outfit, it’s just not the type I usually photograph. 

This past weekend, Old Navy was hosting a pop-up shop in both Harvard Square and Boston to showcase their Rockstar and Boyfriend cut denim lines. Not to mention, the sweet Kendi was also there, helping out with styling sessions. Now, I already own some Rockstar skinny jeans, and really love them. But after receiving this lighter wash pair at the styling session, I think I’ve re-discovered my love for the classic jeans and tee outfit. 

Plus, this tee glows in the dark. So there’s that :). I couldn’t help but rescue it from Boo’s donate pile. I mean, how could you let such a gem go?!

» Last week/weekend, Boo and I traveled to Cleveland again. This time - for my little Ferdy’s wedding! It was an honor to stand up there and be a part of their day. And let me say - it was a gorgeous wedding. A museum setting, butterfly bouquets, and an ice cream bar. What more could you ask for? :)

» This dress just arrived in the mail the other day, and I am in love.

» I have a dilemma. I am sooooo ready for boots, layers, and a fall wardrobe.  But I never want the warm weather to end. Can’t I have both? Pretty please?

» Henry has been an absolute devil lately. 6 months - is that the terrible twos age of the kitten world? Quick, somebody remind me how adorable he is. Annnnnnnd go….

I’ve never been afraid of a little sheerness. Or in this case - a lot of it. I actually kind of like it. Yeah, it walks a line between trashy and tasteful. And I have poor balance. Yikes. But what’s life without a little danger?  Amiright?

Boston Bloggers Summer Soiree

Yesterday evening I spent an hour or so mingling with my favorite Boston Bloggers at yet another fantastic blogger meet-up. Granted, I had to leave early and didn’t get to see everyone I would have liked to, but it’s always so much fun to catch up! Plus, I had a shirley temple. I looove shirley temples :)

And no, I didn’t take any photos. Typical.

Meant To Be

Let me tell you a little story about this dress….

One day last weekend, I took a little peek inside Anthropologie. At first nothing was catching my eye (surprisingly). “Eh, no. Eh, too expensive. Eh, cute but not worth it.” And then… I see this dress from across the room. And I’m pretty sure it was glowing. Halo of light, wind blowing, angels singing - the whole works. I swear. It was calling for me. Telling me it was made to be on my body. True love.

So it went home with me. 

And thats the story of my new favorite dress.

» Last weekend, along with some other Boston area bloggers, I got a chance to do a really fun photoshoot with Vizio Optic. In other words, I got to play model and wear some really adorable glasses and sunglasses. I’ll be sharing those photos soon!

» You guys, I’m that cat lady now. My cat wears a leash. I’m both ashamed and amused. 

» It’s rainy. Which makes me reeeeeally lazy today. In the battle of sewing/ jewelry making vs. watching a lot of TV…. TV is winning. Ugh.
