In My Life

» Apparently, according to Instagram, my life consists of a sleepy cat and a lot of fall leaves.

» I have a coat addiction. I’m loving this yellow one, this grey cape, and this puffy one

» I just went through my makeup bag, replacing some old items with some new. I’m a huge fan of Stila and Benefit products, but I’m a also a huge believer in Dior mascara

» Hey Boston Bloggers - will I be seeing you at the next Boston Blogger Holdiay Meet-Up? December 3rd. Mark you calendars!

Cold Weather Floral

I have a handful of eShakti dresses in my closet, and they have never really disappointed me. This one was no exception! Well… kinda. When I ordered it, I took advantage of the customize option and added sleeves to this sleeveless dress to make it more cold-weather appropriate. but the sleeves ended up being a bit big and baggy. A simple fix with the sewing machine, though. So no biggy! I’m so in love with the colors, I can look past the sleeve mishap :)

Without trying to sound like a broken record, I really do love the beach during fall. Almost even more so than during the summer. This trip, Boo and I explored a completely different section of our usual beach. A spot we’ve never been to.  It’s nearly impossible to get to during the summer, because there are, like, 10 parking spots total. You have to get there practically at sunrise to get a spot :/. But this time of year? no problem.

I absolutely loved this section. It had a much more secluded feel. And in addition to a nice stretch of open beach, it had this fantastic rocky area that we spent almost all of our time exploring. Boo loved all of the little snails clinging to the rocks, and I was fascinated with the amount of different patterns in the sand I found.

Another perfect beach day.

p.s - Thank you all for your condolences about my grandpa. It’s been a really strange week, for sure. But you all are too sweet :).

Happy Halloween

halloween1

Happy halloween, my friends.

We were pretty original with our costumes this year. A lot of effort went into these, as you can see :). But really, after all the work that was put into last years costumes, we decided to keep it pretty low key this year.

And besides, I don’t think Henry really understands the idea behind Halloween. He wasn’t a fan of the mummy costume we tried putting him in, so he decided to go as a strikingly beautiful, well-behaved black cat instead.

on a side note - this halloween has turned into an actual nightmare, as my grandpa passed away yesterday morning. It was quite a shock, and everything is kind of turned up side down right now. I had today’s (I still couldn’t help but share) and tomorrow’s posts scheduled already, but things may be a bit quieter around here next week. Thank you for understanding.
