GOLD GOLD GOLD

This was supposed to be my New Years outfit. But since I was sick in bed for the entire first week of the new year, and didn't even make it to 9pm on New Years Eve, it never saw the light of day. But you know, whats wrong with some shiny, glittery gold legs on a random friday? Nothing, I say.

PLAIDURDAY

I've had the image of Maddie's plaid maxi skirt (and the whole look, really) stuck in my head ever since she first posted her version a few months ago.  So I finally got off my butt and took the couple of hours to make my own. Verdict? OBSESSED. Well, obsessed with the maxi length for now, anyway. I can easily see myself eventually chopping it to a midi or knee length and sporting something like this look. Probably more versatile and practical. But for now I'll rock my crazy plaid maxi.

REPEAT OFFENDER // BLUE CAPE, BABY

Well then, the end of 2014 kind of got away from me there, didn't it? Between a busy holiday schedule and an uninspired feeling towards winter dressing, blog posts have become scarce. And to top it all off, I'm now going into 2015 with a bad stomach bug (flu? hopefully not). So bear with me.

Speaking of the whole uninspired thing, I've always said I was more comfortable dressing for spring and summer weather. Winter is just not my jam. Layering is just not my jam. So in colder months, I tend to rely more on past outfits and repeat looks more than ever. You can see this outfit from last year here.

REPEAT OFFENDER // CHRISTMAS SWEATER

I can consider this my Christmas sweater, right? I mean, its a deer. Reindeer? Eh, Christmas sweater.

And on that note: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, my friends! I'm signing off for the rest of the week to celebrate, but I'll be back next week. Hope you all have a splendid holiday :)

P.S - you can see when I wore this same exact outfit last year here.

MAX MAXI

You guys, go out and buy this maxi dress. Seriously. It has the elegant silhouette of a sleek and slender maxi, but made out of the softest sweatshirt knit. And I've already worn it 3 times since I got it a week ago. I should probably just never take it off. I'm thinking I've just found my new uniform.

SPARKLE SEASON

Boo and I don't really have any fancy holiday parties to go to this year, but that doesn't mean I won't get dressed up like I'm going to one. It is sparkle season after all, so every day is a good day for a sequin skirt.

P.S, you're getting a sneak peek at a new shopHollyDolly item! I'm still trying to work out a few kinks, but I'm hoping to have these wordy wire necklaces added to shop early in the new year.

FEELING FESTIVE

Hellllllllllo Monday. After a busy yet quiet weekend, I'm not so ready to get back into the work week. You see, this weekend I re-stocked shopHollyDolly at Crompton, did some christmas shopping and gift wrapping, cleaned the entire house with Christmas music playing, tackled 4 loads of laundry, sipped on hot chocolate, and watched Boo race in the Jingle Run. And I broke out my red frames, because they feel very appropriate and festive :)
