Back in July, Boo and I had some portraits taken for our two year anniversary. I was anticipating the perfect blue sky, sunny summer day. But instead it rained and was windy and foggy. I was more than a little disappointed. At first. But it cleared up just in time, and turned out to be absolutely perfect. Needless to say, I am IN LOVE with them. Because Dawn is amazing. She did our one year photos, too, remember?

I’m not one to get really wordy or mushy-gushy. So I’ll just leave it at this:
Hey best friend - happy anniversary! Here’s to two perfect years, and 80 more to come. Love you.
P.S - If you wanna see more wedding photos and wedding related posts, go here.
So I had originally planned for a super snowy, winter wonderland setting for this shoot. And it seemed it was going to happen - Buffalo had gotten sooo much snow in the week leading up to our date. And then the day before…. it warmed up to 60 degrees and all melted away. So instead of a winter wonderland, we were instead left with a few small patches of wet snow and some left over snow banks. But we made the most of it, pretending those snow banks were real mountains of snow, instead :). I actually think it still came out nicely.
Of course, it snowed again right after the shoot. Typical.
To see the first half of the shoot, see yesterdays post.

Boo and I had a belated anniversary celebration this past weekend. We drove up to Stowe, Vermont for a quick adventure filled couple of days. I was on a mission for this trip - mission waterfalls. And we saw two! I was even brave enough to wade into the swimming hole at the bottom of one (it was so freakin cold, it actually took my breath away).
Other highlights from the trip - we went kayaking and hiking, saw Stowe from high up above, tried out an alpine slide, had the most delicious maple creme brûlée, and finished off the night with a fun game of mini golf. It was a super great weekend! Even with all the bug bites, muddy legs, and sore muscles that came along with it :).
One year ago yesterday, Boo and I got married. Yesterday, we reached our one year anniversary while in Cleveland celebrating another friend’s upcoming nuptials. It was a great weekend, but we’ll have to have a proper celebration here soon. I mean, we made it a year! That’s a big deal! Not that there was ever a doubt that we would ;).
But really - I can’t believe how fast that year went. Fo real! It seems like it was just last month that I was knee deep in all of that crazy planning, and then walking down that aisle, tripping over my own dress. I wouldn’t change a thing, especially that guy that was standing at the end of the aisle waiting for me :).
Happy anniversary, BooBoo!!!
P.S - see more of our wedding photos here. And just for kicks, see our honeymoon photos here.
