Well January came in with a bang, didn’t it? Snow, negative temperatures, lots of complaining my me. At least Boo got a 5 day weekend out of it. We’ve been doing a whole lot of nothing. And it’s been amazing.

It’s official, Henry really does not like the snow. Like, really really. Don’t worry - he was only out there for a minute and then he was back to being warm and cozy in his favorite…. cardboard box.
I really don’t blame him though. We are now burred in snow and hoping that there is no reason to go outside into the negative degree temperatures. I’d be happy with this weekend consisting only of pajamas and soup and netflix.

For a long time I’ve longed for a big fluffy tulle skirt. I came close to purchasing different ones here and there. I’ve even thought about making one, and then just… didn’t. Because I’m lazy. And then I spotted this one, and with the help of a christmas gift card, I made my tulle skirt dreams come true.
It’s real love.
And I must say, a real good outfit start to 2014.

I received an Etsy gift card for Christmas and have been painstakinly trying to decided exactly what to get. My favorites are full of such amazing things! It doesn’t help that I’m a notoriously indecisive person. Here are just a few of the things that I’m thinking about.

I cannot believe that today marks the last day of 2013. Another whole year has gone by?! When did that happen?! Geez. I’m getting old. Well, I thought that I would look back at 2013 and leave you with 13 outfits - 12 favorites and 1 unseen. As well as a few other favorite moments from the past year.
See ya later 2013, it’s been real. And here’s to you, 2014! Let’s make it another good one.
A few other notable moments form 2013:
- My nephew was born, and I got to be there for it.
- I worked hard on shopHollyDolly, and introduced a whole bunch of new items.
- I got to work alongside the amazing Megan Nielsen as part of the Design Diary team.
- We adopted Henry. He’s pretty cute.
- One of my best friends got married.
- We celebrated our one year anniversary with a weekend getaway to Vermont, and took our first fall leaf peeping road trip through Maine.
- I was selected as a finalist in Cotton’s Road to the Runway contest, was featured in the Boston Globe, and got to be a part of Vizio Optic’s and Bostinno’s fall lookbooks.
It’s probably a wee bit too cold right now to be exposing any part of my feet. But I had just received these cute little flats in the mail the day before, and couldn’t help but give them a spin. Now if only we could fast forward a few months to some warmer weather, I would never take them off.

Man, is it really that time already?! I’m signing off for the next few days to celebrate with our families. So Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, my friends! Hope you’re days are merry and bright :)
p.s - this is the photo we used for our Christmas cards this year. We were going for slightly ridiculous. I think it worked.
Ok, ok. In my last snowy post I may have said something about the snow being gross and annoying. But it sure does make for some pretty pictures. Amiright?!

Yet another winter coat! I think this makes… 7 or 8 now. With an ninth handmade one in the works. I can’t stop collecting them. Especially when I find a bunch of really cute, cheap ones at Buffalo Exchange. They’re too good to pass up! Now we just need a bigger coat closet. Yikes.
