A Pretty Little Scene

March 25th, 2011

This skirt is one of my first vintage purchases from The Garment District in Cambridge. Its not something I would usually go for, but there was something about this scenic little print that I couldn’t resist. And being the length that it is, I originally was going to wear heels. But when I got dressed, you know, it just wasn’t a heels kind of day. But thats ok, because I think the oxfords look quite nice.

I wore this to run some errands and then have our friday date night dinner with Boo. Lovely evening :)

And don’t forget to enter Kelsey’s giveaway where you can win the bow tie necklace of your choice from my shop! Its open until tomorrow night, so go enter

Oh, and thanks Boo for noticing that one sleeve was shorter than the other. Geez, so incompentent. (KIDDING!)

A Very Windy Day

Worn on March 22nd, 2011

It did not look this windy out my window. You see, I had curled my hair on Tuesday. Curled it good. The perfect, just wavy-enough look that I always wanted. And then I stepped outside….. into a wind tunnel. Oh wells, maybe next time. Now, enough complaining.

This is the Marc Jacobs top that I mentioned I picked up at Buffalo Exchange last week. My instinct was to pair it with black skinny jeans and a cropped black cardigan. But then I saw these pants sitting there. And surprisingly, the bright colors of the top looked pretty good with the army green. Or at least I thought it did. What do you think?

Oh yes! One more thing…. You know Kelsey, right? Well if you don’t, you should go check out her blog- Snappy Casual. She is super adorable. AND - she is hosting a giveaway of a bow necklace from my shop. The winner can choose which one they want, and its open until tuesday. Head on over here to enter!

Its Wedding Wednesday

So last week I posted some dresses that were pretty, but not really me. Well, this week I’ll give you a little look at what I do like. A designer I absolutely love is Amsale.

Nadine

Seriously, this is my dream dress. This is exactly what I am looking for. I love Nadine.

Blakely

Liza

And for good measure, this one from Christos:

Lydia

.

So basically, If it has big ruffles, bows, or fun fabric I’ll love it. I’m really just into something sweet, but whimsical and FUN. I actually have many dresses that I love, but there is just something about the Amsale dresses that I just keep going back to. And now you know.

Oh, Hey New Bag

Worn on March 20th, 2011

I really need to stop taking pictures in the middle of the day. I need better lighting. Washed out and shadow-y is so not cool.

Anyway, I was so excited to get this bag! Its a ombre doctor bag i ordered from Spotted Moth. I’m thinking about doing a little DIY and turning the inside into a camera bag. Hmmmmm, stay tuned.

I think I burped right before this picture was taken. ‘Scuse me.

Saturday Stroll

Worn on March 19th, 2011

I thought my purples were the same shade. They are not. Whoops.

Boo and I had a nice Saturday. We went into Boston, walked around the park for a bit, saw a movie, grabbed a bite to eat, bought Boo some new work clothes, and then came back home to watch  the Sabres game. It was a casual, simple day. So I thought it would be a good time to break out the overall shorts again. I love these things, but I have a hard time wearing them because I feel like a 5 year old boy when I do. Oh wells.

The Forgotten Iced Coffee

Worn on March 18th, 2011

Friday was such a gorgeous day. Incredibly windy, but gorgeous nonetheless. I though putting my hair up in a top knot would be enough to keep my hair from blowing all over the place in the wind. But even with hairspray all those loose, fuzzy hairs were everywhere i these photos! Oh well, I don’t care. Because I’m wearing a skirt and no tights. That is insane.

So, I had a bunch of errands to run, and ended up running into Buffalo Exchange. I scored a gorgeous Marc Jacobs top, which I’m pretty proud of. And you know what, I left my new, full iced white mocha sitting on the shelf while shopping. And then never picked it back up. I’m just now realizing this - more than 24 hours later. I’m brilliant.
