I love pattern mixing. Just love it. No, this isn’t the craziest mix ever - plaid and floral might be pretty simple, but I still love it all the same.
I picked this dress up at Goodwill a couple weeks ago. It reminds me of something I would’ve worn as a little girl in the 90’s around Easter time or something. Maybe it was - I’m pretty sure its actually a girls size.

shirt: Urban Outfitters via Buffalo Exchange
dress: thrifted (pretty sure its childrens)
belt: H&M
purse: Chanel
shoes: c/o Big Buddha
Heres a sampling of the items I’ve added to the shop over the last few days. There are new bow and mini bow necklaces, as well as new designs - bunting and ruffle necklaces. I only a have a couple of these right now, but I plan on making more soon (as well as few other new things). So keep a look out in the next few weeks.

Look, I’m wearing two of the items I picked up at the recent Swap Uncapped! The sweater was a score- its cashmere and incredibly soft. And really, I only picked up the skirt for the floral print. But I’m glad I did- because it turned out pretty cute. I debated whether or not to hem it knee-length or shorter. But I’ve acquired a lot of longer length skirts this summer, so I thought I would go shorter with this one.

skirt: swapped

I call this my Kristine outfit. I feel very Kristine or Polly in it. Yes? No? Am I just crazy? Probs crazy. Maybe Its just in my head and I just wish I could emulate her.
Crazy.

Over the weekend, Boo and I continued our beach adventures by making our first trip to the ever popular Crane Beach. It was sooooo incredibly gorgeous, and such a warm, relaxing summer afternoon.
My beach-wear seems to be getting more and more simple. Not that its a bad thing. But I started out with pretty pretty sundresses, and now I’m already to shorts and an oversized tank. Oh well, its the beach!

tank: H&M
swimsuit top: JCrew
shorts: JCrew
belt: taken off another dress
shoes: thrifted

p.s - yesterday I was on Green Wedding Shoes with a quick blurb on how pinterest is helpful in my wedding planning. You should go check it out!

Saturday, the Swapaholics hosted Swap Uncapped, and my very first swap! I did score a few fun items - including cashmere sweater and a pretty granny floral skirt that will be adorbs once I hem it. But the best part of the day was meeting all the wonderful bloggers in the Boston area- including Amy and Jen! I made new friends, got to meet and talk to Jessica, and scored some fabulous new items. Although, I was a bad little blogger and forgot to take photos of the event. Except for the one below, of course.
And I’ll be debuting my acquired items soon, once I get around to altering.

tank: Delias (gift)
skirt: Anthropologie
necklace: made by me. being added to the shop later this week.
sandals: Urban Outfitters

My decision not to wear heels made me feel incredibly short next to these ladies. But it was so nice to meet Jessica and the rest of the girls!

(L) An absolutely gorgeous day at Crane Beach!
(R) We’ve kind of become obsessed with Dave’s sandwiches. So yummy!

(L) A full house at Swap Uncapped! More on that tomorrow…….
(R) I have a little quirk. I looooove corn on the cob. I mean, love it. I’ve been know to eat 8-9 ears of it in one sitting, and nothing else. Thats it, just…. corn on the cob for dinner. But the thing is, and everyone who knows me thinks I’m incredibly strange for this, I refuse to eat it off the cob. Not canned corn… not frozen corn… I don’t care if I sit there as you cut it off the cob right in front of me. No way. Gross.

I have something so fun to share with you guys! Linda, of Little Tin Solider, and I have been dreaming about bedazzling some plain old sweatshirts for a while now. Why not jazz up those plain old sweats and have a little fun while doing it?
Well, we want YOU to join us.
A little bedazzling party, if you will. All you have to do is email one of us a photo of your sweatshirt by August 26th. Or, if you’re a blogger, post your snazzy new outfit on the 26th and send one of us the link! Have fun!!!

Ok, so these aren’t the best photos. But it was getting later and later in the evening, and Boo still wasn’t home. I thought I was going to go another day without outfit photos. Oh no! But I sucked it up, grabbed my tripod, and ran out to the porch to catch the last few minutes of daylight.
I love to throw this top on in the summer. Its so light, and airy, and flutter-y. That DVF knows whats up.
