In My Life

(L) mmmmmmmm, fresh silver queen corn from the farmers market!

(R) We’ve been trying to figure out exactly what we (ok, just me) want for our save the dates. A lot of trial and error.

(L) Thats my boo.

(R) We have slowly started decorating for halloween. And with a little help from Pinterest, I’ve dressed up 2 pumpkins so far. I can’t wait to do more.

Put A Bow On It

Just when I was getting used to the fall weather creeping in, it jumps back into the high 70’s. Its a good thing I hadn’t packed away my shorts yet.

Speaking of these shorts - they got a lot of love this summer, and they are finally starting to fray a bit. I guess fray check will only hold up for so many wears and washes.

RAR (like a lion)

And so continues my obsession my clothing with animals on them.

I spotted this top on Modcloth a while back, but wasn’t sure if it was worth the price. And then I noticed the same top at the boutique, Bobbles and Lace, when we were in Newburyport. Once I saw it in person it was a done deal. I mean, it has little lions all of it. How could I pass that up.

things I’ve been obsessed with lately:

- wedding planning. I’ve been in full wedding mode these last couple of days. I’m working on our wedding website, working on our save the dates, and working out the details of our NYC dress shopping trip with my sister. And I’m being fueled by all the backed up episodes of Four Weddings on my DVR.

- Pottermore. can’t.stop.brewing.potions.

- all the new fall shows. We’re tv people, ok?

- pumpkin spiced lattes. Just like everyone else, I am so excited to be able to order these again. Can we say yum?

new etsy items. Also like everyone else, I’m loving the friendship bracelet craze. And they are super addicting to make, no matter what kind.

Graffiti Alley

Friday was date night! So we headed towards Central Square for dinner and long discussions about fantasy hockey. Of course, you can’t go to central square without stopping in graffiti alley for photos.

So.Many.Colors.

So many, in fact, that I was worried that I would either clash or blend right in. Other than the blue being right at skirt level, I think it ended up being ok.

Honesty

I should be honest, I had absolutely no where to go wearing this outfit. I actually never even left the house that day. But I had the urge to put on something pretty and take pictures of myself. Just a big kid playing dress-up.

And now you know.

Newburyport

On saturday of Boo’s birthday weekend, we drove out to the adorable town of Newboryport. Many people had suggested going there, and I’m glad we did. We walked around the whole town, had the most delicious pizza, and walked in and checked out every little shop we went by. Yes, it was Boo’s birthday. But I may have gotten a few presents. Typical.

After a while, we headed over to the boardwalk on the waterfront and ate our newly purchases fudge. Just sitting by the water, watching all the boats, might be one of my favorite things to do!

We didn’t stop there! Theeeeeen, we headed over to Plum Island for a little beach time. It was a little too chilly for sunbathing and swimming (although there were many brave souls who were doing so). But we did have a little picnic, took goofy pictures, and even took a little nap.

And finally, the birthday boy and his cupcakes!

EBEW: Colored Pants

IMG_1326

worn on September 8th, 2011

I really love colored pants. In fact, I’m surprised I only own 3 pairs. I’ve done yellow, red, and orange. I would really like some bright blue ones. Or maybe green. Or purple? Or maybe I should just get one in every color.

p.s - I won this Loominosity bracelet from Ashley over at I Believe in Unicorns and I’m absolutely smitten with it! I’ve been dreaming up different outfits I can pair it with. They have some amazing bracelets in their shop. You should check them out!

p.p.s - when I went looking for the post for the yellow link above, I was reminded of how I used to go more in depth with my photo editing. I used to have a lot of fun with Photoshop actions, giving my photos different effects. All I really do now is adjust the brightness, contrast, etc. I’m thinking about going back to the more edited way, but I’m having a hard time deciding. If I do it, I want to commit to it. I don’t want to keep going back and forth. What do you think? Which do you like better?
