In My Life - My Best Friend's Wedding

ash2

Remember awhile ago when I posted about my Bestie’s llama tea party bridal shower! Well, she got married! A few days ago, Boo and I traveled to The Cape to help them celebrate their big day. I must say, it was the perfect barefoot in the sand, touch of vintage, Cape Cod wedding. Sure, it rained on and off all day, but the skies cleared just enough for the ceremony. And it was beautiful.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

orange

It’s that time again. Like everyone else on this planet, I’ve become obsessed with pumpkin lattes again. Well, pumpkin everything, actually. The other day, I went in to Starbucks and ordered a pumpkin spice latte, a pumpkin scone, and pumpkin bread. All at once.

I have no shame.

So, it only makes sense that my pumpkin love would spill over into my outfit choices, too. That’s normal, right?

Ladylike Leather

IMG_5451

I’m pretty sure I’ve said it before - but one of my favorite ways to wear this leather jacket is with something flowy and girly. I’d say this peachy, chiffon skirt and bow adorned kitten heels do the trick.

In My Life -Cleveland

cleveland

I made a quick trip to Cleveland this past weekend to visit my BFF Allison (and my other BFF Winston - he’s the handsome black and white fella up there). The whole mission of the trip was to find Allison’s wedding dress, and it was a success!

A whirlwind trip, but a successful one.

Sequins and Scallops

sequin1

I wore this on wednesday for Boo’s birthday.  Despite the flashy skirt, It was actually a really low-key day. After spending all day at work, Boo wanted steak for dinner. Sooooooo, we went out for a steak dinner. We then came home and had cupcakes, and went through all of our wedding photos (finally!!). Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

There’s a certain Boo celebrating his birthday today. And that Boo happens to be my husband.

Happy birthday BooBoo! There’s cupcakes and a big ol’ glass of cold milk waiting for you.

Plum Beach

I mentioned last week that posting has been a little sporadic because the moving process was kicking my butt. And, then, I caught a cold - which really kicked my butt. So when I started to feel the tiniest bit better on Sunday, Boo and I jumped at the chance to get out of the house and enjoy one last beach day of the season. It wasn’t the warmest or sunniest of days, but it was still the perfect beach day, nonetheless. We actually prefer a cloudy beach day - less people, and less sweating.

After a few hours on the beach, I buttoned up and tucked in my cardigan, and we headed into town for lunch (and pumpkin spice lattes). I swear, Newburyport is one of the cutest little towns. We will definitely make a conscious effort to head that way more often this fall.

If You're Thinking About Getting A Photo Booth.....

IMG_2301

…..for your wedding or party - DO IT. You will not regret it.

photos1

Renting our photo booth was probably the best decision I made for our wedding. Seriously. Everyone loved it, and I could have filled six of those frames with the amount of photo strips I have.

I originally wanted to get custom made, really long frames for all of them. But that turned out to be ridiculously expensive. So, instead, I found these floating frames at the craft store, and used clear scrapbooking squares to arrange and attach all of the photos between the two pieces of glass.

Let’s just say, I’m pretty much in love with them.
