Happy Birthday, America! And happy happy holiday weekend to all of my American friends. Just like a good little blogger, I have an appropriately themed red, white and blue outfit to share with you. 

…Oh, who am I kidding? I love a good themed outfit. This makes me really, really happy (and not just because it’s another romper. seriously, I have a problem). I also still really love last years July 4th outfit, too!

NEW LIFE, STARRY NIGHTS

This fabric might look a little familiar to those that have been following HollyDolly for a while (or for those that follow me on Instagram). It’s actually our old beloved duvet cover (see it here). Henry caused a little rip in the fabric, which eventually turned into a giant rip across the whole thing. HUGE sad face. We loved that duvet cover. 

But it’s a good thing I can sew, because I can save our favorite fabric and give it new life! In addition to a couple of pillowcases and a little something for Boo, I whipped together this little woven back tee for myself. And now that huge sad face is now a smiley one :)

IN MY LIFE

» Ugh, I’m sick again. My week has been all cough drops and boxes of tissues and naps. And ice cream. At least theres that. I love a big bowl of regular ol’ chocolate ice cream. 

» LOFT is at it again with more new arrivals. I love this big stripe skirt, this smaller stripe skirt, these embroidered shorts, these Lou & Grey shorts, and this little floral necklace. I also tried this dress and this top on at work yesterday and they’re both really cute! (psssssst… it’s 50% everything (except Lou & Grey) through the rest of today!!)

» Cheddar and pineapple? So yum! My step-mom gave me a similar recipe to this a few years ago and me and Boo love it. I’ve been craving it lately. Maybe I’ll make it sometime next week.

KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID

I spent a lot of time in front of the mirror trying to figure out what else this outfit needed. A chunky necklace? A denim vest? An arm full of bracelets? And then I realized it didn’t need any of that. Simple can be good. And it’s summer, after all. A cute romper, some strappy sandals, and trusty sunnies are all I need. 

P.S - I think I seriously need a romper intervention.
