BUTTERFLYIN'

I used to really love butterfly prints when I was younger. My bedroom was covered in pastel splatter wallpaper with a butterfly border, and the coolest fabric I ever convinced my mom to buy me for a sewing project was a crazy butterfly covered rainbow velour. So the sight of this dress from ASOS understandably made my heart go pitter patter. Not that narrowing down my selection for my purchase was easy, though. ASOS always has such an awesome selection for dresses, and so many end up on my wishlist. Like this one. And this one. And this one (oh look, more butterflies).

BLACK & BLUE & (LOU &) GREY

3 things:

  1. You guys know about Lou & Grey, right? Well, you know how I work at Loft? Lou & Grey is the lounge line for Ann Inc, and we carry it at Loft. I could honestly live in every single piece of the collection. I wish it was all in my closet.

  2. This half top knot is definitely my new thing. I've been wearing my hair like this a lot.

  3. I just want to be able to wear my shorts and rompers without tights so baaaaaaaad.

HANDMADE WARDROBE // SUPER WIDE LEG

My sewing game has been lacking lately. I have piles and piles of new fabric, and I even have a whole bunch of projects planned out and ready. But reality is, come Fall, a lot of those projects will probably still be sitting in that basket.

But hey, even if I never ever even get to the others, I did manage to make a super wide leg purple plaid jumpsuit. And it's abso-freakin-lutely fabulous.
