Day 15 - Yeah, I don't have a good title for this one

Worn On February 15th, 2011

tee and sandals: Urban Outfitters, skirt: American Apparel, headband: Anthropologie

30 for 30 remix- day 15: Phew, half way there. I actually am not that tired of the challenge as a whole yet. I’m a little sick of the few things I packed for this trip though. I wish I would have packed a few more items. Oh well!

Boo and I went to Universal City Walk for dinner last night and to walk around a bit. So I kept it cute and casual. We also kept ourself busy at dinner by snapping random pictures of each other (see below). We got some pretty funny ones, but I’ll save that for another time.

Day 14 - A Pirate-y V-Day

Worn on February 14th, 2011

dress: Ann Taylor Loft, tee, sandals & sunglasses: Urban Outfitters

30 for 30 remix day 14: No I didn’t wear red or pink for Valentines Day. I didn’t pack any- clearly I wasn’t thinking. But that ok. Boo and I, because we are awkward and random, did a little awkward and random Valentines date. We went to a Pirates Dinner Adventure. You know, like actors dressed as pirates putting on a show while you eat and cheer on your sections pirate. Hilarious. I loved it.

Oh yes, and I made a twitter. I’ve always said I would never do this. I’ve always been a little anti-twitter. But its hard to avoid it! And its for the good of this blog, so its ok. So yeah, wanna follow me? Find me here, or follow the link to the right.

Day 13 - You're a Wizard, Harry

Worn on February 13th, 2011

tee, sunglasses, & sandals: Urban Outfitters, jeans: BCBGeneration, hair clip: H&M

30 for 30 remix - day 13: First off, Happy Valentines Day everyone!!! I’m a day behind on posts, but Boo and I have an… interesting Valentines dinner date tonight. So I will post that tomorrow.

This is what I wore on our second day at Universal/ Harry Potter world. This is actually the exact spot Boo proposed the day before ( thank you all of you for your kind words!), and I really wanted to go back and take pictures there, seeing as I didn’t have my camera the day before. It is a magical place, I tell ya. I didn’t want to leave Hogsmead! But now I get to spend the next few days relaxing in the sun by the pool, doing some early wedding planning/ browsing.

Oh yes, and the wonderful Sara from SK{ru}SH tagged me for the Stylish Blogger award!

I believe my duties are to tell you all 7 random facts about myself, and then pass it along to some other lovely, deserving bloggers. Ok, so here we go:

1. This one is in my about me section, but its one of my favorite stories. My very first memory is my mom telling me that my favorite dress, this bright blue quilted dress with little white hearts all over it, didn’t fit me anymore. I was devastated. All I wanted to do was wear that dress. I cried my eyes out.

2. At home, we have a dog named Sassy and a cat named….. Sassy. I refuse to call the cat that though (because we had the dog first), so I just call her Kitty or kiki.

3. I love our hockey team - the Buffalo Sabres, and I’ve met a bunch of the players at signings and what not. But one time, I saw our all star goalie in the grocery store, walking right at me. I got so nervous and didn’t know what to do, that I just held my breath as he walked by. I’m such a dork.

4. In 4th grade, I performed a, lets say, “interpretive dance” to No Doubt’s Don’t Speak. Awwwwwkward.

5. I’ve recently become obsessed with the idea of having 3 boys named Dexter, Desmond, and Demetri. But those names def. don’t go well with Boo’s last name.

6. Boo asked me to be his girlfriend, almost 6 years ago, in my bedroom full of paper seagulls. He had hung them all there while I was out.

7. Why seagulls? Little seagull was a nickname my friends called me in high school. On our french exchange trip, all my classmates got these amazing lunches packed by their french families. My family packed me very odd things. So I was always going around eating everyones yummy scraps and leftovers. Like a seagull.

Alright, and now to those ten other lovely ladies. I’m not sure who has had this already or not. So feel free to play along. Or not. Its up to you! :

Day 12 - BIG News!

Worn February 12th, 2011

shirt: Gap via Buffalo Exchange, shorts: JCrew, necklace and tights: Urban Outfitters, sunglasses: NYC street vendor, shoes: Keds via Buffalo Exchange, purse: H&M

30 for 30 remix- day 12: First day in Orlando! It turned out to be a lot chillier on saturday than I expected. I mean, it was no Boston, but I’m lucky I packed a pair of tights at last minute. I was even cold with them on. We spent our first day at Universal/ Harry Potter world. It was a.mazing. Oh, and that big news?

I GOT ENGAGED! Boo proposed on the bridge in front of Hogwarts castle. Which is so incredibly fitting for me. Really, you don’t understand. It is like my dream.

So yeah. engaged! Now all those wedding magazines I buy can actually be put to use :)

Day 11 - Leaving On a Jet Plane

February 11th, 2011

blouse and cardigan: Anthropologie, jeans: BCBGeneration, shoes: Keds via Buffalo Exchange, jacket: Theory via Saks Off Fifth

30 for 30 remix - day 11: Yaaaaay, I am on my way to Orlando! This is what I’m wearing on the flight. I usually prefer to wear dresses and skirts on planes, but i was a little constricted, not only by my 30 items, but which of those 30 items I was packing. None of the dresses/skirts seemed appropriate for a flight, or a late night flight. So I went with jeans and a comfy flowy blouse. And some layering pieces of course.

I will be posting while I’m Florida. Wheee! Well, at least, I’ll pick up posting on monday. The main point of this trip is for Boo to take a class for his job. So while he is in class, I have nothing to do but lounge at the hotel (hopefully by the pool) and be a good little blogger.

Day 10 - Just Saying Hi

Februaury 10th, 2011

dress (worn as top): Forever21, pants: Urban Outfitters, shoes: Keds via Buffalo Exchange

30 for 30 remix, day 10: I’ve been busy all day cleaning, packing, working, and what not before tomorrow nights flight. But I remembered to get just a few outfit pictures in quick. If you recall, this is actually a dress. A little strategic tucking, folding, and belting - and I was wearing a top. Simple and easy for not much going on today.

Day 9 - Here Comes The Sun

February 9th, 2011

tee: Delias, skirt: Anthropologie, socks: Express, wedges: Madden Girl, hat: Forever21, coat: DKNY

30 for 30 remix, day 9: Today was very deceiving. The sun was shining bright and it looked so gorgeous outside. But when I stepped out for photos, it was a lot colder than it had been the last few days. Brrrrr. The things we style bloggers will do.

I can’t believe so many of bloggers out there are in NYC now for fashion week. I’m so jealous. But while everyone else is heading to New York, I’ll be heading to Orlando. Which is pretty cool too. I’m trading in fashion for warmer weather and Harry Potter World. Sounds good to me! So I’m going to get back to finishing some projects up and working on my packing. It takes me weeks to pack. I’m constantly evaluating and adjusting what I’m taking right until the last night. siiiigh.

A Little Comparison

I’m sure not many people will care about this. But I think its funny. Because its me, and glee. And I love glee.

But I’ve realized that mine and Rachel Berry’s wardrobes must look awfully similar. And sunday night’s episode proved it. For example, first I saw this:

I wore this H&M dress in this post.

And then a few scenes later…..

I wore the H&M giraffe sweater in this post.

Even better, when I was googling, trying to find these pictures, I came across these two different sites. It seems some people have beat me to the punch. What? Am I really the only crazy style blogger out there to wear this giraffe sweater? Weird.

Again, I’m probably the only person who finds this slightly amusing. But I should be some sort of double for Lea Michele. They wouldn’t even have to provide the wardrobe. I could just come dressed and ready.
