Handmade-ness

chambrayshoulders1

So here are the Epauletta epaulettes I debuted to shopHollyDolly yesterday! Funny story - the idea actually came about when I started making this chambray dress. I envisioned it with studs or some sort of embellishment at the shoulder. But then I chickened out and was afraid of making anything permanent. So the removable epaulettes were born! I think it is waaay better this way anyway :)

epupdate

A brand new item has been added to shopHollyDolly! introducing Epauletta! dress up your shoulders  with these double layered, leather shoulder epaulettes. With a large pyramid up top decorating the top, and a pin on the back, you can attach these to the shoulder of any dress/top/sweater to create a whole new look.

Right now I only have them made in black, but I will be making some brown versions soon!

Check everything out here. And check back tomorrow to see how I wear them!

» Apparently, according to Instagram, my life consists of a sleepy cat and a lot of fall leaves.

» I have a coat addiction. I’m loving this yellow one, this grey cape, and this puffy one

» I just went through my makeup bag, replacing some old items with some new. I’m a huge fan of Stila and Benefit products, but I’m a also a huge believer in Dior mascara

Cold Weather Floral

floraleshakti1

I have a handful of eShakti dresses in my closet, and they have never really disappointed me. This one was no exception! Well… kinda. When I ordered it, I took advantage of the customize option and added sleeves to this sleeveless dress to make it more cold-weather appropriate. but the sleeves ended up being a bit big and baggy. A simple fix with the sewing machine, though. So no biggy! I’m so in love with the colors, I can look past the sleeve mishap :)
