I may have gone a little overboard with all of the fireworks photos. I’ll spare you all 30 photos, but these are a few of my favorites. The lights, the colors - such an inspiring start to 2013!

Happy New Year, my friends! We’re welcoming 2013 here with lots of snow and chilly temperatures. But at least I have a fantastic new cape and new booties to get me through it (thanks Boo!)
I’m not really one for resolutions. I’ve made them in years past, but found that I either forget about them within a couple of months, or never stick to them anyway. But there is one thing I will say for this year - this is going to be the year for shopHollyDolly. Last year was concentrated so much on wedding planning, and the shop kind of took a backseat. But 2013 is the year I take the shop to the next level. And It starts with shopHollyDolly being available at Crompton Collective! If you live in the Worcester or Boston area, you should really go check it out. I’ve mentioned before how I believe it is the cutest shop around, and I’m so excited to be a part of the handmade family!
Stay tuned over the next few weeks/months. I’ll be photographing and adding new items to the shop very soon. So check back often, and head on over to Crompton Collective for a visit!

While we were at home, Boo and I did a little exploring of our hometown. My favorite part was tromping through the snow to get to these old, abandoned train cars. I can’t believe I’ve lived there my whole life, and never discovered them. Maybe come spring or summer we can visit them again so I can actually climb up in them without getting all snowy and wet.

What a year 2012 has been! We welcomed a niece, traveled to NYC multiple times, got married, traveled to St. Lucia for our honeymoon, moved into a new place, discovered our love for tea, learned we will be welcoming a nephew, attended my best friends wedding, celebrated my other two friends engagements, and spent more time on some New England beaches.
I though I would take a look back on some of my personal favorite outfits and posts from the past year.

How was everyone’s Christmas?! Ours was fantastic. A crazy and whirlwind trip, but fantastic nonetheless. It’s always great to be home, but it also feels great to come back to Boston and get settled back into routine.
It started snowing the day we got into Buffalo, and it never stopped. Probably one of my favorite parts of the trip! We currently do not have any snow here in Boston (just icky rain), but you can always count on Buffalo for a white Christmas. It wouldn’t be the same without those pretty white flurries! We did get out of there before the big storm rolled in, though. I hope all of you that were in the path of it are staying safe and warm!

I’ve been soaking up all the Christmas goodness this week. The delicious smell of the tree, the twinkle of the lights, The last minute shopping and gift wrapping. All while drinking lots and lots of tea while trying to kick this cold. I mean, fuzzy socks and warm cups of tea are the cure for all colds, right?
Anyway, I’m signing off for the extended weekend to enjoy the holidays with the fam. I’ll be back late next week- I’m sure I’ll be sharing more Christmas goodness! Until then, my friends, Merry Christmas and Happy Holly-days :)

Boo and I had a very eventful Saturday as we headed to Worcester for the day. I’ve been dying to visit Crompton Collective ever since Amy first opened up shop. And it didn’t disappoint! It is officially the cutest place ever.
After that, Boo and I checked out a few more shops in the area (based on Amy’s recommendations), we chilled out with some hot dogs and hot chocolate while we watched some ice skaters, and then we hit the ice ourselves! Now, I can kinda skate. And by that I mean I can stay on my feet while I flail my arms around in the most ungraceful manner possible. Seriously - no sense of balance or coordination over here.
We then headed back home to finish up our shopping and grab some dinner. The only downside to being out and about all day (and mostly outside)? If I thought I had a cold before, I definitely have a cold now. Drats.

I’m a big fan of red. And white. So it’s funny, that when picking out a party outfit around the holidays, I gravitated to the most non Christmas-y colors I could possibly pick.
II guess I’ve just been wearing so many neutrals and deeper colors lately, That I was craving a some bright colors. Plus, this dress is the softest, and fuzziest lace-type fabric I’ve ever felt. It feels cozy, which makes up for the summer-like colors.

*** My heart goes out to all of the victims and all of those affected by the tragedy at Sandy Hook. Those tiny little faces have been on my mind all weekend. I cannot imagine anything more horrific than what took place at that school. Thoughts and prayers, always.
